Solution for planning and managing bank business

Oracle Hyperion Planning is a centralized solution for banks. This is a solution for planning, budgeting and forecasting, that integrates financial and operational processes of planning. Integration of financial and operational planning models provides a detailed overview of business operations and their impact on finances.

This solution brings technological improvements in the process of developing financial and operational plans in banks. The solution makes the planning process and forecasting more efficient, and also facilitates and accelerates results monitoring and data consolidation on a bank level.

The solution enables rationalization of the existing surroundings of spreadsheets into a unified system for planning, securing the platform for later implantation on a bank level.

The system is entirely integrated, and, as such, enables high quality updates of plans and reporting. Furthermore, by implementing Oracle Hyperion Planning solution, the need for manual intervention will minimise, data integrity will increase, and thus the accuracy of data will be enhanced.


Some of the solution functionalities are:

  • IT supported process planning – enables update of the achievement from previous months or years, development of forecast/ budget, budget revision and centralized distribution of forms to participants planning process. 
  • Possibility of planning in domestic and foreign currency, or with currency clause and in many different currencies.
  • The possibility of development of different scenarios (actual data, prediction, budget, budget rebalance), versions (initial, operating and final). 
  • Entirely IT supported solution for bottom–up and top–down planning. 
  • Process of planning involves everyone: central controlling, business segments (retail, corporate management, MIB and other), informatics, management costs department, human resources department etc.
  • Process of revenue and expenditure planning by products, business segments and by different measures, from statistical (client number, product number and similar), through planning to calculative measures. 
  • Expense planning (such as, planning human resources expenses and other administrative expenses and amortization); planning by expense type on the bank level or organization unit. Putting the expenses on the lower organizational units by allocation keys.
  • Revenue Planning – financial and commercial plan.
  • Possibility of browsing credits and deposits by maturity, currency, segment etc.

  • What - if analyses, influence of price changes on financial plan on revenues, influence of the price changes on commercial plan on compensation heights, incomes etc.
  • Liquidity planning that implies planning individual costs and incomes by their capitalising deadlines, that is maturity, and by amounts, as well as planning their difference, and thus planning cash flow. Reduction of manual labour and amortization of segment reports, sub segments, product groups, products and business lines.

  • Oracle Hyperion Capital Asset Planning enables planning of the existing and new long term assets, their maintenance, transfer and amortization, and, at the same time, it enables analysing of the effects of those processes on revenue, balance and cash flow.

Oracle Hyperion Planning for banks enables two-way data exchange with data warehouses and corporation systems for resources planning and transactional systems. It is made on scalable architecture additionally enabling flexible data entry; analysis and frequent updating in real time, from any place, in secure environment where standard web browser is used.

Combis offers licence for Hyperion Planning solution and services of implementation, which includes: recording status and needs, defining new models of planning, installation and parameterization of Hyperion Planning solution, development of needed screen forms, reports and business rules, integration with other IT systems in bank and education.
