The energy efficiency project is co-funded by the European Union.
Combis and partners – company ASR Group and FER (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing), completed the development of a ComEnergy, product which is co-funded by the European Union. They presented it on Thursday in Zagreb. ComEnergy is an energy consumption-monitoring platform with advanced analytics for Big Data and an application for monitoring energy consumption and ambient conditions.
This solution enables precise monitoring of energy consumption and connects different data sources, integrates and processes them, provides insight into the actual state of consumption, ensures lower costs, optimizes consumption, and reduces risks and failures. By monitoring energy consumption through all parts of the production process in real-time, it is possible significantly reduce production costs and environmental impact, while increasing the production capacity of existing production resources and enabling easier approach moving closer to the implementation of the ISO 50001 standard.
“One of the primary goals of the development of this product is to reduce energy consumption, which can have a significant socio-economic impact on lowering operating costs as well as harmful emissions, which creates a positive environmental effect,” said Damir Horvat, Member of the Management Board and Chief Sales Officer in Combis.
The name of the project is ‘Improving the efficiency of the manufacturing industry through research and development of innovative ICT services for increasing energy efficiency – ComEnergy’. The project is co-funded by the European Union from the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion, the European Regional Development Fund. The total value of the ComEnergy project is 14,720,143.86 kuna, and the amount of EU support is 7,333,330.51 kuna.
“We are extremely pleased with the results of the joint collaboration, which made us achieve the project’s goals almost a year before the official deadline,” said Robert Rac, director at ASR Group.Professor Roman Malarić, PhD, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) pointed out how ComEnergy carries great potential for the manufacturing industry, and at the same time is proof of knowledge and innovation in Croatia.
The ComEnergy project brought together several strategic thematic areas, namely energy technologies, systems and equipment; sustainable food production and processing; eco-friendly technologies, equipment and new materials.
